Silver|story were invited to design a limited edition pen to celebrate the centenary of the birth of the designer Lucienne Day.
The story begins with the centenary and of Lucienne being an avid sketcher and maker of lines. There are one hundred lines in total featured on the barrel of the pen.
Ninety-nine of them are white, with the final line, representing Lucienne, in her signature yellow found in many of her designs. On closer inspection, only one of the white lines crosses in front of the yellow line, this line might be called Robin, a nod to her husband, Robin Day.

Each pen is numbered and the Certi cate of Authenticity signed by the Designer, Ruth Hudson-Silver of Silver|Story and by Paula Day on behalf of the Robin and Lucienne Day Foundation.
The Robin and Lucienne Day Foundation was established in 2012 with the objective of promoting the nation’s design heritage and in particular the work of Robin and Lucienne Day. The Foundation encourages access to the design legacies of Robin and Lucienne Day and to provide opportunities for students and the public to enhance their investigations into design in general and furniture and textile design in particular.
