This watercolour tin by Florence Paintmakers contains a gorgeous blend of our haematite and yellow sandstone pigments, which creates this rich Florence Orange. 

Their watercolour paint contains a high proportion of pigment, along with other natural ingredients including locally-sourced mead, which acts as a non-toxic preservative. It produces a strong tint and is light-fast. 

Florence Paintmakers was formed by a group of four Cumbrian artists and was registered as a co-operative in 2012.  Now their Paintmaker produces hand-made artists’ materials with the haematite from Florence Mine, Egremont, as well as other local pigments derived from Cumbrian minerals.
