Bark beetles (Scolytinae) are named after their habit of feeding the inner layer of tree (phloem). This bug species is also known to leave significant trails carved into the tree’s phloem by female beetles and their larvae.

This t-shirt is using those beautiful and enigmatic trails as a way to evoke the relation- ships between the grassroots organisations, artists, and cultural initiatives which MAMA has developed an ecosystem for.
