Kordoba Fried Chicken Box (takeaway box with 12 stickers) is an alternative exhibition catalogue to Hamja fictional series of Halal Fried Chicken franchises with references to decolonial and Islamic histories and futures. Kordoba Fried Chicken is a reference to Moorish Spain before the cleansing of Muslims and multi-faith civilisation from Europe in 1492. The Kordoda Fried Chicken Lightboxes and wall paper were an installation in Documenta Halle intervening in the main restaurant as a comment on class and race in Art gallery food economies. The boxes were also used in free public Fried Chicken feasts in the Gudskul kitchen as part of the event Peoples’ Chicken during the Meyden weekends.
