Future Fossil Tote Bag

The artist collective Art Ashram explored a marlstone pit on the river banks of Hannover to excavate hundreds of Belemnites. These fossils, dating back millions of years, were the starting point for drawing, building and storytelling about possible and impossible futures together with children of a local school. Those investigations were presented, accompanied by primeval soup, at the Hiroshima-Ufer in Kassel. The graphic on the tote bag is a result of playfully arranging the shape of the Belemnite on illustrations in art history books and was individually hand-printed by Andreas Kräftner.
